Project brief
This logo has been donated to Hosseini Taekwondo Academy by Vizig Design. The client wanted a minimal-style logo that she could use on her social media profiles, t-shirts, posters, and advertising banners.
Due to the lack of copyright law in her country, we decided to use the typography of the brand name in her logo to minimize its copying. The logo was designed in four versions (horizontal, vertical, central, and full-page) to be effective in all situations.
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art. The term taekwondo means the art of using hand and foot strikes. The goal of this sport is not only to teach fighting but also to cultivate spirit and respect.
Primary logos
Hosseini is written as "حسینی" in the Persian language. To create the horizontal logo, the simplified "حسینی" was merged with the fist symbol, and the single point above the term became a circle. Next, both sides of the horizontal logo were pushed inward to achieve maximum efficiency in vertical spaces.
Color theme & font
Three colors were chosen as the color theme of the brand. The black color represents the strength of the body that emerges as a result of continuous practice. The red color symbolizes the physical injuries that occur in the path of learning. And finally, the white color signifies the use of learned techniques in the direction of peace.
Secondary logos
In the next step, a closed form was created by extending the corners of the vertical logo. After coloring, this form was called the central logo. Finally, the full-page model of the logo was designed for use in the profile of social networks or accessories.
Pattern design
Two patterns, one simple and the other complex, were designed for the brand. The South Korean flag and the belt colors in Taekwondo inspired the design of the intricate pattern.
